Floating Ball Valve

Its primary function is to cut off the flow along the pipeline, offering bi-directional sealing, meaning the ball can move freely to stop media flow in either direction. The valve uses a ball to prevent fluid flow and shut the pipe's cross-section. The key characteristic is that the ball is not supported by a trunnion but is suspended in the fluid, with the valve seats remaining static.
